This notice explains how ASHWRK LTD ("ashwrk", "we") handles personal data collected through this website. We are the data controller. ASHWRK LTD is registered in England and Wales, company number 17258873, registered office 14 Stanley Street, Holyhead, Anglesey LL65 1HG.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect the details you give us: your name, email address and message, and optionally your business name, phone number, how you'd like us to reply (email or WhatsApp), what you're looking to build, your budget and your timeline. If you ask us to reply on WhatsApp, we'll message you there from our business number.
Booking a call
If you book a call through our booking link, the booking is made on Calendly's website, not ours. Calendly collects what you enter there (your name, email address, the time you choose and anything you add for the call) and shares it with us so we can hold the call. Calendly processes it on our behalf and under its own privacy policy, and as a US company may process it in the United States.
If you ask us to reply on WhatsApp, or message us there, the conversation goes through WhatsApp, a service run by WhatsApp (part of Meta). WhatsApp handles your number and messages under its own terms and privacy policy. We only use the conversation to reply to you.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter we keep your email address, and the page you signed up from, in our own system so we can send it, using Resend. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like.
Site statistics
We count visits with our own first-party analytics and with Vercel Web Analytics. Our analytics records the pages you view, where you came from, clicks, how far you scroll, page speed and errors, against a random ID kept in your browser's local storage. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you by name, isn't shared with anyone, and never follows you to other sites. You can reset the ID at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. We don't use advertising trackers. The only cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies, and only if you agree to them (see below).
Cookies and Google Analytics
If you press "accept" on our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this site: which pages are visited, how people arrive, and whether they get in touch. Google Analytics only loads after you accept. If you reject, or ignore the banner, nothing is sent to Google and no Google cookies are set.

We've switched off Google signals and all advertising features, so this data isn't used to show you ads. Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months. Google acts as our processor under its data processing terms. Google may process the data in the United States, which is covered by the UK–US data bridge and Google's data protection terms.
The lawful basis is your consent. You can change your mind at any time:
Turning statistics off
You can switch off our own analytics and Vercel Web Analytics for this browser (this also stops Google Analytics, whatever you chose on the cookie banner). We remember the choice by saving ash_optout in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. If you clear this site's data, the setting goes with it.

Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to deliver that work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Who we share it with
Enquiries and newsletter sign-ups are stored in our own system, which runs on Supabase, and emails are delivered by our email provider (Resend). Calls you book go through Calendly, and WhatsApp replies through WhatsApp (Meta), as described above. The site is hosted and measured by Vercel, and, if you accept cookies, measured by Google Analytics. Supabase, Resend, Vercel, Google and Calendly act as processors on our behalf. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to work for up to 12 months, then delete them. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires, typically six years for accounting records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@ashwrk.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
